Career Missionaries are North Americans that serve full time in the foreign field. They will serve on a minimum 4 year covenant and be able to raise their full support with the intention of serving indefinitely. They will come under the authority of the WGO’s Policies and Procedures, the Country’s Field Director, and the department manager. Language training will be required for those not proficient.
Sojourner Missionaries are North Americans that serve between 6 months and 1 year. Sojourners are people who come to serve and support the current missionaries and the Belizean or Honduran staff. They will be required to raise their own support and will live on the campus that they are serving with. They will also come under the authority of WGO’s Policies and Procedures. Recommitments of time to serve can be reconsidered for serving longer.
Guest Workers are North Americans that come to serve between 3 weeks and 3 months. They will come to support the current missionaries and the Belizean or Honduran staff. They will be required to live on the campus they are serving with and will be required to fundraise or pay their way of $225 per week which covers food, lodging, insurance, and scheduled transportation.
WGO offers Internship opportunities that are intended to help a North American gain more experience in their respective field of interest who are able to serve between 3 weeks and 3 months. Some internship opportunities can be coordinated with your school requirements. Please consult with the HR Department about your needs. Interns will come to support the current missionaries and the Belizean or Honduran staff. They will be required to live on the campus they are serving with and will be required to fundraise or pay their way of $225 per week which covers food, lodging, insurance, and scheduled transportation. Internships are offered during certain times of the year.
The ministry of World Gospel Outreach is seeking candidates interested in serving as the organization’s President/CEO. This position has the responsibility for oversight of the executive staff that includes the CFO, VP of Partner Relations, Field Director for Honduras, Field Director for Belize and the Director of HR. The ministry currently has approximately 100 staff in three countries. The position would be located in the U.S. but requires some travel to Honduras and Belize to oversee ministry operations as well as travel within the U.S. to interact with ministry partners. The CEO will give overall leadership to the organization in all areas including casting the ministry vision, operations, financial, legal, funding and spiritual. In coordination with the Board of Directors, establish and implement long-term strategy including securing the needed funding to operate the ministry. Timeframe to transition into this role is January of 2020. This position requires work experience in an executive staff position and a track record of pursuing God. The Belize campus is looking for someone to be the lead person for managing the WGO ministry campus and 3-5 employees. This person will perform all duties related to hospitality for the Serve Teams including managing food service staff, managing and maintaining the campus facilities, fleet, and security personnel, engage and develop relationships with team members, and manage a budget and expenses. This position requires you to live on the ministry campus. Has the ability to work in a multicultural environment and adapt to life in a rural setting. The position will directly report to the Belize Field Director.
The Belize campus is looking for someone to be a resource for managing logistical questions regarding Serve Teams. This position will manage applications with Belize government for medical licenses, permits for Serve Teams, etc. This position will also perform administrative duties including some accounting, paying invoices, and other general office work. Must have good office and computer skills, be effective in small, relational team setting, have the ability to work in a multicultural environment, and adapt to life in a rural setting. The position will directly report to the Belize Field Director.
The Belize campus is looking for a lead person for the Serve Team at the ministry site to help with duties related to hosting Serve Teams on the WGO campus: prepare in advance for the team arrival, drive the van/bus to transport teams, manage 2-3 people, and engage and develop relationships with team members. Must have the ability to work in a multicultural environment, adapt to life in a rural setting, and be effective in a small, relational team setting. The position will directly report to the Belize Field Director.
Do you have a desire to encourage and support our team of missionaries and Honduran staff to help us maintain a healthy, vibrant staff in Tegucigalpa, Honduras? Our Member Care Coordinator prepares new missionaries for entering the mission field and helps them during the transition to adjust to a new culture providing training and resources as well as being a contact person to relay thoughts, feeling and frustrations. The coordinator also works with existing missionaries and Honduran staff to provide ongoing counseling and training and works as a liaison between management and staff. The Coordinator works with HR in the hiring process, oversees psychological assessments, and provides resources and training opportunities.
WGO is looking for an IT manager to work in its offices in Tegucigalpa, Honduras. This is a new position. This person will be responsible for all IT needs, including telephones at Rancho Ebenezer and the Mission House.
WGO is looking for a person to lead the Pastoral Discipleship program with our more than 200 pastors we minister to and coordinate medical brigades at their churches. WGO wants to grow and expand this amazing program to help empower, encourage, and educate the pastors we are connected with. You will be required to help create plans for a disciple program that will include pastoral care, spiritual growth, and outreach to identify new church opportunities. Must be bilingual, a good communicator, proficient in computers, and have a servant’s heart.

WGO is looking for pre-school through 6th grade teachers for the 2018-2019 school year.
Rancho Ebenezer is in need of certified teachers for Ebenezer Academy, our on-site school that has a bilingual emphasis. Class sizes are small. The school calendar begins in August and goes until the beginning of June, with a two week break for Christmas. Current or retired teachers can apply, and the ability to become a fundraising WGO missionary is also required. Our teachers are people who can be flexible and are willing to serve in other capacities as needed. Other possible roles would be helping at the homes when the child care workers are away, supervising the soccer field during free time, and helping with other duties around the Ranch. Even when school is not in session, teachers are still considered “working” and available to step in wherever and whenever needed. Rancho Ebenezer is a small Christian community that feels like one large family.
WGO is seeking strong Christian, husband and wife couples to mentor our ministry children at Rancho Ebenezer located in the mountains outside of Tegucigalpa, Honduras. We strive to provide a haven where children can heal from the hurts of their past, know Jesus, receive an education and know the love of Jesus through caring Mentor Parents, counselors and staff. Mentor Parents oversee 8-12 children providing devotional times, homework help, activities, discipline and most importantly, love and nurturing. Mentor Parents work alongside our in-home counselors, social workers, therapists, and other children’s services staff.
WGO is expanding their child care opportunities to include child care workers and home counselors. These much needed staff members will be part of the child care team at the children’s homes at Rancho Ebenezer located on a mountain outside the city of Tegucigalpa. Job responsibilities will range from child care to counseling and the individual will live in one of the children’s homes with up to 9 children, guiding the day-to-day activities of the home. These homes are part of family groups overseen by mentor parents.
WGO is looking to grow our Children’s Service Staff and add an additional Social Worker. The social worker at the Ranch will conduct individual trauma therapy with children and youth, supports staff with problem solving behavioral difficulties, conducts clinical trainings about child development and healthy attachment.
WGO wants to grow and we are looking for a Psychologist to work in the Children Services Department. The psychologist at the Ranch will conduct psychological testing, leading to diagnoses, analysis, and treatment of psychological disturbances. The psychologist must have psychotherapy experience working with children and youth and be able to conduct clinical sessions independently. In addition, the psychologist will provide support by conducting clinical trainings and meetings with Ranch personnel to increase their knowledge of psychological concepts. In addition, the psychologist will teach effective and research-based strategies to use in order to maintain emotional, psychological, and physical well-being of the children and youth.
WGO is looking for an RN to work at Rancho Ebenezer in Tegucigalpa, Honduras. The nurse will work with the Children Services Department to help oversee the health and well-being of the children and staff at the Ranch. This position requires good documentation skills, computer skills, communication skills and a servant's heart.
